Medicare Information for Clients
It is not a requirement to come with a Mental Health Treatment Plan. However, to access a rebate of $145.25 for each session (up to 10 a year) you will need to get this referral from your GP. This needs to be your usual GP, or the GP you intend to see over the subsequent 12 months.
Natalie is unable to process Medicare rebates onside at this time. After you have paid the appointment, you will be provided with an invoice. To lodge the invoice for rebate, log in to my.gov.au or the MyGov app and click the “Medicare” button, then “Make a Medicare Claim”, and follow the prompts.
Medicare Information for GPs
Clients can access up to 10 Medicare rebates through a Mental Health Treatment Plan per calendar year. Up to six sessions can be referred at a time. Please specify the number of sessions on the referral, as Medicare has recently made this a requirement.
