  • What to expect from therapy
Starting therapy can feel like a vulnerable experience. Each therapy experience is unique, because you and your difficulties are unique. Nevertheless, the space should always feel safe, supportive, and containing, and Natalie invites open discourse around any concerns or issues.
At the first appointment (‘initial assessment’), Natalie will ask you a lot of questions about your life, with an aim to put it together into a cohesive story where you current difficulties make sense of both recent and past influences. From there, she will collaboratively create a plan with you based on your goals for therapy.

  • Cost and rebates
Natalie’s current fee is $280 for a 50-minute session. With a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, you will be able to access a Medicare rebate of $145.25 (for 10 sessions maximum per year). Private health insurance may also cover some of the cost depending on your coverage.

  • Cancellation policy
While it is completely fine to reschedule or cancel, Natalie asks for 48 hours’ notice at a minimum. This allows Natalie to attempt to schedule someone else into your cancelled session. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee.
